In what period is the campground open?
Our campsite is open from March 28 to October 6.
Do I need to make a reservation?
This depends on whether you want to come in the early or late season or during the summer vacations. In good weather, we are usually fully booked from mid-July to the end of August. It is then advisable to book in advance. Especially for rental accommodations it is wise to book earlier than for pitches. Our rental accommodations are guaranteed fully booked during Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, the summer vacation and the autumn vacation. For camping pitches, you can sometimes find a spot last-minute.
Are there preferential fees if we want a specific spot?
Yes, if you want to reserve a specific spot at the campsite, you can do so by contacting us by phone or email. The cost for a preferred spot is €17.50 per spot.
Can I rent coolers?
No we do not rent coolers ourselves. Via the website below, you can rent coolers from a company in den helder:
What are the arrival and departure times?
For campers, arrival is from 12:00 and departure is before 11:00. For rental units, arrival is from 3:00 pm and departure is before 10:00 am.
What happens if I arrive after the reception closes?
The reception is open daily from 09:00 - 17:00. In high season we have extended opening hours from 09:00 - 20:00 and on the Wednesday before Ascension and the Friday before Pentecost from 09:00 - 23:00. Should you arrive outside opening hours, please use the intercom next to the reception and we will help you.
Can I park a car near the pitch or accommodation?
One car is allowed per reservation. To load and unload (sleeping) luggage, we open the barrier. A possible second car can be parked in the parking lot near the entrance.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome at our campsite! However, pets must be notified when booking and cost €6.50 per night.
Do we have to pay a deposit for our accommodation?
Yes, for our beach cottages and wood lodges you pay a deposit of €100, which will be refunded to your account within 14 days after your stay and a check by the campsite.
Are bed linen and towels provided in the rental accommodations?
The beds are made on arrival. You can get extra bed linen at the reception (€9 for a set of sheets). Towels can be reserved when booking or collected at reception. The cost is €6.50 per set (1 bath towel, 1 towel).
Can I stay overnight with a group?
Strandpark 't Noorder Sandt is a family campsite known for its child-friendliness and quiet atmosphere. Our beach park mainly accommodates families with small children or elderly people seeking peace and quiet. We know from experience that groups often drown out our other guests. Therefore, we cannot always satisfy the wishes of groups.
Is it possible for young people traveling alone to stay overnight?
Young people traveling alone under 21 years old are not allowed to stay overnight with us.
When is the animation team present?
Animation is offered during Easter weekend, May vacation, Ascension, Pentecost and during the regular vacation weeks in July and August (except Sundays).
Is the swimming pool open to the public?
The swimming pool at the campsite is only accessible to our guests. Due to strict regulations, we cannot admit outside guests to the pool.
Is there wifi?
Yes, there is free wifi in the campsite buildings. Per reservation, you will receive a code from us that you can use with the whole family.
Can I put up an extra tent?
Yes, this is only allowed on the basic and comfort pitches, not on the camper pitches. The additional tent must remain within its own pitch. For rental accommodations, it is only possible to put up an extra tent after consultation.
Can I put up a party tent on my pitch?
No, party tents are not allowed.
Do I have to make a reservation?
It is advisable to book in advance to be sure of a place, but it is also possible to come spontaneously.
Is the campsite accessible by public transport?
The campsite is accessible by public transport. You can travel by train to Den Helder (Central or South) and then take a bus to Julianadorp. From the bus stop it is a 10-minute walk.

Is there a possibility to charge my electric car?
Yes, we have space to charge four electric cars at the same time.
At the campsite
How does the barrier work?
Upon arrival you will be asked for your license plate number, this will be entered into our system. Through the license plate you can then drive in and out. Make sure you are actually in front of the barrier, the camera can then read the license plate. To ensure peace and quiet at night, the barrier only works between 07:00 and 23:00.
Do you need shower tokens?
No, we do not work with shower tokens. You can press the button located under the temperature controller and get 7 minutes of hot water from the shower head.
I want to leave before 08:00, is that possible?
Yes from 07:00, but make sure you have checked out at the reception the day before.
I have lost power; what now?
Please let reception know and a member of staff will come and turn the power back on. If the power goes out outside the opening hours, you can report this at the reception or via the intercom. If it is after 23:00, please wait until the next day. At 11:00 p.m. we have night rest and do not come for power.
Can I receive visitors and how much does it cost?
Of course. Day visits are free of charge, however we would like you to come and tell us that your visit is here so we know who is at the campsite. Also for any emergencies it is nice to know how many people we have on our campsite. Visitors staying overnight pay €9.50 per person per night (this includes use of our facilities, including the swimming pool).
I will have visitors, where can they park?
In the parking lot you see before you enter the campsite. For unloading and loading any (sleeping) belongings, your visitors may drive through with the car. At the reception they can then open the barrier for you.
Is there a supermarket at the campsite?
No, we do not have a supermarket at the campsite. In Julianadorp, about 1.5 km from our campsite, there are supermarkets. There is an Albert Heijn, Vomar and a Lidl.
Is it allowed to barbecue?
Yes this is possible, provided you observe the safety requirements.
Do you separate waste?
Yes, we have one place with containers for glass, paper and residual waste. Small chemical waste such as batteries can be deposited at the reception. The compactor for residual waste is only suitable for household waste, preferably packed in garbage bags. We also have a green container, this is only for unpackaged pruning waste and grass. So please do not throw (plastic) bags in this container.
Can I freeze or borrow cooling elements?
Yes, you can freeze in the large freezer in the "outdoor kitchen" (at your own risk).
Is a party tent allowed on my pitch?
No party tents are not allowed on the campsite.
